guitar hero METALLICA

It was only a couple of months ago that I had my first fiddle with the crazily popular Guitar Hero (GH); its so popular even South Park has lampooned the balls off it. Randy trying to show his son and his friends that he can play the songs for real, only to be called out for being lame, was funny even having not played the game. You could say that the thing that got me into GH was the fact that Death Magnetic (two word review: fucking fuck) was available to download. Not owning an Xbox or PS3 myself, I was stoked to hear that a mate of mine had purchased the album for the game. What is normally a 10 minute drive became a 9 minute drive – the traffic sucked.

Once seated in front of the game, I sat and enjoyed the music for hours. In fact, it wasn’t until most other people were tired from playing that I had a crack – I didn’t care how tired I got, I was just enjoying the songs from the greatest fucking album. So I grabbed one of the little plastic axes and had a play. On easy, the game is almost hard. You try and play along with the songs you know and love, only to see that the easy game mode misses far too many. And medium was too hard for me at the time…that damned blue button!

The night flew, and I was addicted. The next day I was consumed with a desire to play more of the game. I had to resist as my recent uni workload began to build up. Now thats all over I am eagerly anticipating the release early next year of Guitar Hero METALLICA. Thats right, a whole game devoted to the greatest band ever. I was so close to buying a Xbox and GH but am now going to hold out until the greatest game ever is released.

Most of you have probably played the game before, so bear with me while I obsess over it a little.

it kicks ass. plus if you like your sports games, consoles are the best.

and make sure you get an xbox over a ps3. the games are much easier to ‘purchase’ ;)

I read somewhere that more people are playing Guitar Hero / Rockband than are playing EA sports games…thats fucking insane.

And yeah I ‘purchased’ far cry 2 last night was so quick and great customer service.

I wonder if in the short/mid future that unsigned, independant bands could?

Maybe “Guitar Hero: Tryhard”? or “Guitar Hero: Give up now or waste your life”

[...] continues to dish out his flavour of entertainment analaysis, getting on the Guitar Hero Bandwagon and having some things to say about Prison Break (too much testosterone in that show..). [...]
